Early Days

Dave began his DJ career as a teenager on a South London pirate radio station. By the age of sixteen he was running his own station! The next year, Dave was DJ'ing in Bombay.

Dave created and presented the BBCs first hip hop show at BBC Radio London.

On GLR, Dave then hosted a nightly dance show relayed on station KISS FM.

He next hosted a daily drivetime show on the now legal KISS FM, and went on to host the "Dangerous" Breakfast Show.

BBC

Dave joined Radio 1 in April 1995, initially hosting the Early Breakfast Show on weekday mornings, moving to weekend mornings in October of the same year. He was the regular stand - in for Chris Evans Breakfast Show.

He went on to host a series of different shows; Recovery Session (The Breakfast Show for Ravers), The Weekend Breakfast Show, Drivetime, Late Drive

Sunday Night Anthems

"Dangerous" Dave Pearce became the star of Radio 1's 'Dance Anthems' on Sunday evenings and is an all round dance music maniac!

It was announced in August 2008 that Dave Pearce would leave the station in October. He said: "It's been an incredible thirteen years at Radio 1, of all the shows I've presented, Dance Anthems is the one I'm most proud of creating."

Rest in Peace
