Lisa I'Anson Lisa hosted Radio 1's weekend show and was a popular female DJ at the station for over three years. Her career in broadcasting began in 1989 when she joined London's dance radio Kiss 100 FM, presenting a magazine show "The Word". January 1995 saw Lisa host her own Radio 1 show, taking over from Emma Freud with the lunch time show. She has also worked on television, presenting her own black music quiz show on BBC2 called "The Vibe", hosting "Top of the Pops" on BBC1 for over two years, presenting MTV's daily show "Hanging Out" and recently hosting MOBO (Music of Black Origin) awards.
