Next came the Grand Duchy station RTL Radio Luxembourg, and a more worldwide audience with BFBS. He was the first presenter heard on Ireland's Atlantic 252 when it was launched in 1989. Following Atlantic, in 1990 Gary became a presenter at Radio 1 where he initially presented the Breakfast Show, sitting in for Simon Mayo who was on paternity leave. During most of his two years at Radio 1, Gary presented the weekday early show 5am - 6.30., when you could hear his humorous chat and top tracks of the day. Gary has since been heard on London's Heart (1997) and Capital FM (1999) presenting the Drivetime Show, at Magic 105.4 London (2004 -2005) and from January 2006 to May 2008 presented the weekday 'Big Quiz' on London's LBC 97.3 FM. Gary can also be seen on QVC, the UK Satellite TV shopping channel presenter as he is their consumer electronics expert. |
