The Man Ezeke

Man Ezeke's real name is Ezekiel Gray; born in Montego Bay, Jamaica, he first made musical recordings in 1961 and later formed the Aqua Vita Band where he was lead percusssionist. In 1976 Ezeke released a single with Tony Grieg titled We're The Greatest/Enoch De Nook.

The Man Ezeke's first radio broadcast was for BBC Radio Bedfordshire (later 3CR) presenting music for the Afro-Carribean community.

In 1990 he joined BBC Radio 1 presenting  The Sunshine Show, with tropical reggae sounds on a weekday evening and later a Sunday afternoon show Number Ones On 1  until September 1993.

Man Ezeke was the first black daytime presenter on the station, when he fronted One's On One, before the Sunday Top 40 show in 1990.

Man Ezeke has worked on Ireland's 'Cork FM' since 2000 with a Saturday night request show.
